EXCITING NEW CLASSES ADDED FOR MARCH

Hi Everybody--I'm excited, I hope you are too.

March is going to be a crazy month for all you artistes. We just added a new class for March and confirmed a couple that were already set up.
Here's the latest info.

Tuesday, March 10, 6:30-9:00, $45: Tattered Angels, Glimmer Mist Class with Monika Thomas. She will be doing a Nature Book with the Tattered Angels products. For this class the $45 will include her teachers fee but best of all, you get a kit that includes your very own book, a butterfly stencil, three glimmer mist colors, a box of glimmer chips, maybe some glimmer glass and ephemera such as ribbon, butterflies, etc. We have had the Glimmer Mist in the shop for a month now and everybody loves it. You will go home with your own kit and if you don't complete it in class you will have all the materials to add to it at home. Sample book is in the shop. The only thing you need to bring is you. But we do need to know so we can order the kits ahead of time.

Thursday, March 12, 1-4PM, Magenta Class, $35 Beverly Anderson. Beverly will once again be doing some technique class with stamps, paper flowers, peel offs and various other items. The sample is in the shop. Cards for all occasions. For those of you already signed up for Beverly's class here is a list of the supplies to bring with you. Basic Class Kit (Black Memories Pad, straight edge (ruler) X-Acto knife, scissors) add foam tape and watercolor pencils and a white pigment pad (i.e. Colorbox White Frost or Tsukineko White).

Thursday Evening, March 12, 6-9, $35 Magenta Class with Helene Metivier, one of the owners of Magenta Int. will be doing 5 cards, using chipboard, glitter glue, pencils, ink and stamps. FOR THE WEEK OF FEB. 16 AT STAMPIN' FROM THE HEART

Wednesday, Feb. 18: ATC Swap Club/Class, Jessica Hollowell, $10, 6:30-8:30. We will be making and swapping A(rtist)T(rading)C(ard)s. All are welcome and it is really fun getting your art going in miniature. (Playing card size). We would love to have some new members—think about this once a month fun, card-swapping event. Last month Jessica Hollowell took over from Kristy Williams due to her work schedule. The ATC swap is a lot of fun. We are looking for new members--please come and join us. Kristy Williams still comes, but due to her work schedule can't come all the time so we are pleased that Jessica loves ATCs and agreed to come share her talents.

Sunday, February 8: Mica Gloss Mixatives with Cheryl Green. Make wonderful backgrounds for layering your cards. Cheryl will teach us some wonderful techniques to make six (6) different backgound papers at one time. Cheryl has been into crafting for a number of years and has worked with Carol Duvall and produced TV Weekly.com for the last couple of years.

Lori has not given me a description or put a sample in the shop as yet but she does such fun things with the Hanko Yuzen paper and punches that you will definitely go home with cards that can be done over and over for anniversaries and birthdays and all other occasions.

Sunday, Feb. 15: Triptych Book, Kelly Kilmer, 12:30-4:30, $65. This class was a HUGE success at Artfest 2001 and across the U.S. It's one of my favorite book forms. I'm bringing it back and revising it-updating it! A very unique book that lends itself to a variety of different styles. Please bring favorite scraps of ephemera (old letters, journal pages, collaged tags, etc…) You will construct a three panel book from scratch that can be used as a journal, story album, photo album, memorabilia book and more! Learn unusual ways of incorporating favorite imagery and collage ephemera into the design of the book. Walk away with your own personal journal with your head spinning with ideas! Supply List: Scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork back metal ruler, roll of waxed paper, roll of paper towels, container to hold water, 3 1" brushes to glue and paint (I like chip or bristle brushes), permanent black inkpad.
